Reno County Custodial Technician Full-Time Nights in Hutchinson, Kansas

Job Objectives:
Assist in maintaining Reno County owned buildings by keeping them neat and clean, and by being observant, recording items needing repair by the maintenance technicians.
Essential Job Functions:
Dust chairs, tables, shelves and other furniture and equipment. Wash windows, walls, woodwork, blinds, etc. Clean and sanitize bathrooms, replenish supplies paper, soap and so on. Vacuum, sweep, mop, buff and shampoo floors as directed. Place hazard signs to warn public of possible slick floors. Report items needing repair such as light bulbs, doors, etc.
Equipment:
Operate all job-related machinery, equipment, tools and other aids as required, necessary of needed in the performance of these job functions.
Work Environment:
Work is generally performed in a business setting. May work near moving machinery such as floor cleaning or waxing/buffing equipment. May be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, toxic or caustic chemicals, and blood or body fluids. Noise level may be quiet to very loud. May be working in areas under video and/or surveillance/recording equipment.
Usual working nights/hours: 40 hrs. per week. Location of work: Reno County owned buildings/offices.

- Shall be a US citizen and be at least 18 years of age.
- Shall be screened for a record of criminal activity and criminal history using a named-based record check before employment is offered or before job duties are assigned that might expose them to KCJIS-sensitive information.
- Shall be screened for a record of criminal activity and criminal history using a fingerprint-based check within 30 days after initial employment or assignment and before unconditional employment is offered.
Individuals who do not meet the criteria specified in Part II, Section B, item 1.10, and could be inadvertently exposed to KCJIS-sensitive information, shall be screened for a record of criminal activity and criminal history using a named-based record check prior to access being granted.
