Prepares and concludes sourcing contracts based on customer requirements at the most beneficial conditions whilst ensuring quality and on-time delivery. Focus on business-specific Procurement.
Lead activities such as coordinate purchase orders, requisitions, request for quotes, and other similar documents related to the purchasing of product for production parts from new/existing suppliers.
Coordinate internal actions between supplier and SGRE.
Analyze and manage MRP schedules for parts and ensure timely part PO placements.
Coordinate transportation and logistics
Manage part shortages and expedite as necessary from suppliers to ensure on-time delivery for production builds.
Communicate parts availability to Supply Chain Leadership as appropriate.
Monitor cost, schedule, technical specification and drawing release status of projects and lead corrective actions as required. Coordinate with supply base new component releases and design changes.
Disposition and communicate non-conforming part issues internally and externally providing support to the SGRE quality team.
Coordinate and monitor incoming supplier shipment to ensure compliance to SGRE requirements.
Create and maintain weekly purchasing metrics that measure supplier and department performance.
Support model year launches.
Provide advanced communication on potential part problems that could affect in-station work on the production floor.
Monitor risk within the supply base
Solve problems and issues and track program progress.
