SOIL CONSERVATION TECHNICIAN: Position involves work outdoors visiting landowners, traversing uneven terrain, evaluating conservation best management practices, designing practices, overseeing construction, checkout, and more. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED. Requirements: background in conservation or agriculture (Two-year degree with agriculture classes would substitute for background in conservation or agriculture), ability to communicate effectively and work well with people, valid Kansas state drivers license, and pass a security background investigation, as required by the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture.
