POSITION TITLE:FacilitiesMaintenance Manager

REPORTS TO:Director of Operations

DIRECT REPORTS:Janitorial Staff

FLSA STATUS:Non-Exempt; regular full-time; employment-at-will position.

SCHEDULE:40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 7 AM-4 PM, with occasional flexibility for projects.

PURPOSE:The Facilities Maintenance Manager ensures the safety, functionality, and upkeep of Kanzas indoor and outdoor facilities. Responsibilities include supervising janitorial staff, managing maintenance schedules, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring a clean, safe environment for staff, clients, and visitors.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. [Coordinate, schedule, and personally complete most preventative maintenance and repairs for both interior and exterior facilities, utilizing external contractors only when necessary.]{lang="EN-US" contrast="none"}
  2. [Inspect and maintain HVAC, plumbing, lighting, and other critical facility systems to ensure safe and efficient operation, performing minor repairs as needed.]{lang="EN-US" contrast="none"}
  3. [Supervise janitorial staff, including scheduling, assigning tasks, providing training, and delivering performance feedback.]{lang="EN-US" contrast="none"}
  4. [Train staff in proper cleaning methods, workplace safety, and emergency procedures.]{lang="EN-US" contrast="none"}
  5. [Ensure compliance with health, safety, and facility regulations, including conducting regular safety audits, addressing hazards, and overseeing the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).]{lang="EN-US" contrast="none"}
  6. [Maintain outdoor areas, including landscaping, walkways, parking lots, and seasonal tasks such as snow removal, lawn care, and leaf clearing.]{lang="EN-US" contrast="none"}
  7. [Inspect outdoor lighting and signage regularly for functionality and safety.]{lang="EN-US" contrast="none"}
  8. [Maintain records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance schedules to ensure regulatory compliance.]{lang="EN-US" contrast="none"}
  9. [Manage and restock cleaning supplies and equipment to ensure all necessary materials are available and in good working condition.]{lang="EN-US" contrast="none"}
  10. [Assist with setting up and breaking down furniture and equipment for events, meetings, and other activities.]{lang="EN-US" contrast="none"}
  11. [Serve as the primary contact for facility-related emergencies, such as leaks, power failures, and HVAC issues.]{lang="EN-US" contrast="none"}

OTHER DUTIES:
