Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Director for Information Technology (IT) oversees the development,
execution, support, and evaluation of a robust and comprehensive IT system. Works with senior
leadership, departments, and schools to help them effectively utilize the applications of
technology within their respective areas of responsibility. In addition, the director focuses the
department on innovation, efficiency, and implementation of effective industry leading
telecommunication and technology practices that will aid the district in providing the highest
quality educational programs, services and the infrastructure to ensure smooth management of
the overall operation.
Qualifications and Requirements:
1. High School diploma or equivalent
2. Bachelors degree or higher preferred
3. Experience and training in Information Technology preferred
4. Computer skills; Microsoft training preferred
5. Knowledge of company supported systems, including but not limited to, Windows
desktops/Laptops, Windows Servers, and Google Workspace for Education
6. Working knowledge of office equipment
7. Telephone communication skills
8. Working knowledge of K-12 education.
9. Maintain current TB testing as required by Health Department regulations (after an
employment offer is made)
Performance Responsibilities:
1. Oversees functioning of the technology operations of the district for the purpose of
ensuring an effective, efficient and safe environment, where technology equipment and
applications are utilized appropriately and efficiently to support administrative and
educational functions of the district.
2. Provide consultation to district administrators and teachers on planning and implementing
curriculum with technology integrated for the purpose of having everyone working
fluently and efficiently.
3. Consult with users and evaluate requirements, recommend designs and layouts, provide
cost analyses, plan short, medium, and long range projects, and coordinate tasks for
installation of technologies for the purpose of providing secure, cost effective information
systems tailored to the users needs.
4. Communicates technology related activities in a timely manner to all stakeholders.
5. Provide network documentation, training, and guidance to computing system clients and
programmers for the purpose of keeping the staff informed and trained on current
systems.
6. Conduct technical research on technology upgrades and components to determine
feasibility, cost, time required, and compatibility with current systems to maintain

upgraded and working information systems.
7. Develop and conduct an efficient and effective software selection process to maintain the
most usable software for the district.
8. Institute setup, support, and maintain procedures for all network protocols to ensure that
all the information systems communicate correctly.
9. Work with the districts grant writers to establish alternative funding for technology when
applicable to ensure the proper funding is available.
10. Act as the districts technology liaison to the community to make sure that everyone is
given the proper information.
11. Wor k as a team member with other technical staff, to ensure connectivity and
compatibility between systems for the purpose of providing maximum up-time for the
network.
12. Document network problems and resolutions for future reference for the purpose of
avoiding repeat problems.
