As a Project Engineer, you will provide technical support, capability improvement, standardized work, and immediate problem solving. Included in this endeavor is active participation in the ContiTech Business System (Lean) activities to reduce product and process variation and elimination of waste. All changes to equipment are documented and communicated to all stakeholders in a way that allows for proper documentation (standard works, TPMs, BOM’s, etc.). Initiating changes to the manufacturing line, improving accuracy of engineering documentation & systems. Successfully introducing new products and processes into production and implementing the appropriate level of technology on production processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate production performance monitoring (regarding cost, lead time, scrap, waste, energy. OEE, etc.) and identify, prioritize and implement production process improvements.

  • Implement internal Mechanical Engineer standards (strategy, equipment, KPI’s, etc.)

  • Provide technical support for manufacturing concerns.

  • Improve process capability and production volume while maintaining and improving quality standards.

  • Process data collection and analysis to make data-based decisions and implement corrective actions.

  • Drive new process technology and continuous improvement: Ensure projects are completed on time.

  • Work closely with product development engineers, maintenance, and area managers to improve efficiency of operations.

  • Lead continuous improvement activity in the department.

  • Comparing with other plants on best practices and implementing those findings to improve the overall facility.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or closely related technical degree; Mechanical Engineer Degree is preferred

  • 3+ years of experience
