REPORTS TO: Director of Buildings and Grounds
JOB GOAL: To maintain the physical school plant excellent condition so that full and complete educational use of the facility may be made at all times.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Vacuum, scrub, and disinfect floors of building daily.
- Maintain high degree of cleanliness in restrooms, drinking fountains, and school lunch room.
- Clean and maintain all school owned equipment used by custodial staff.
- Close and secure building each night.
- Assume responsibility for the general security of the school building.
- Participate in necessary painting and general repair of building.
- Assume general fire safety of the school building.
- Move school bleachers as directed by the Supervisor.
- Notify Supervisor of any and all problems which may arise.
- Perform any other duties reasonably related to this position.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF JOB:
- Requires prolonged (over 75% of time) standing and walking.
- Frequently, (over 33% of the time), requires physical exertion to manually move, lift, carry, or push heavy objects (not over 50 pounds).
- Occasionally requires physical exertion to manually move, lift, carry or push heavy objects weighing in excess of 50 lbs.
- Driving skills and physical ability required to drive vehicle.
- Possession of sight required.
- Ability to walk required.
- Ability to speak clearly required.
- Ability to hear required.
There is a drug test and a physical also being done.
