Summary This position is responsible to guide daily plant operations in the moving, processing, and shipping of recyclable materials in a safe and efficient manner. Lead daily plant operations and ensures all safety practices are being followed. Reviews and evaluates work to ensure quality, timeliness, and ensures quality control in adherence to policies and procedures Leads production staff and coordinates workflow and assignments to achieve operational goals Investigates, reviews, and controls implementation of safety regulations and company policies and procedures Submits paperwork of completed production to the General Manager daily Ensures all equipment is well maintained and operated in a safe manner Competencies Mechanical Proficiency Organizational Skills Work Environment This role requires working in the elements, in the plant yard, exposed to dust and debris. Frequently operates forklifts, and skid steers. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is frequently required to climb; balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 200 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
