Typical Qualifications
Interested persons must be a U.S. Citizen, 21 yrs. of age, possess a H.S. diploma or GED, & a valid driver's license. GCPD offers an excellent benefit pkg. including health insurance, vacation, sick & KP&F retirement benefits. Pay incentives are given for College, Military Police Service, prior Law Enforcement experience & bilingual skills. Must be a current certified Police Officer with at least two years of continuous experience as a sworn Police Officer. The selection process includes written test, oral interview board, background investigation, polygraph, psychological evaluation, medical exam, physical testing & urinalysis/drug screen.

*The Police Department is offering hiring/moving bonuses as follows:
$ 1,000 for Local Hires
$ 3,000 for Out-of-Town/Out-of-State Hires
