Description

Fires Collective Trainer for the Mission Training Complex.

  • Coach and mentor Army Mission Command Information Systems (MCIS).

  • Fully versed in all aspects of Army Battalion, Brigade and Division Operational functions and warfighting function products.

  • Provide training and mentoring in the Tactical Employment and use of AFATDS.

  • Provide expertise in the development of training scenarios, decision support products and operations orders.

  • Must possess a working knowledge of MCIS systems and making recommendations on staff procedures and processes.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Possess an active Secret Security Clearance.

  • Must have attained the rank of Sergeant First Class or higher as a 13F, 131A or 13A.

  • Must have the ability to coach, teach and mentor battalion and brigade Fire Support Officers and NCOs on the proper execution of fires in support of maneuver.

  • Must have the ability to train individuals on the Military Decision Making Process. (MDMP) and command post operations.

  • Must have a working knowledge of the Army targeting process; Decide, Detect, Deliver and Assess (D3A) methodology.

  • Be able to write Battalion and Brigade level Fire Support products. This includes annex D and associated appendixes and targeting products (HPTL, TSS, AGM and TSM).

  • Served as a Fire Support NCO at a Battalion or Brigade level. Preferred experience with planning/conducting the targeting process at Division level.

  • Have four years of experience as a mission command trainer.

  • Must be willing to travel outside the Ft. Riley area 2-4 times/year for up to 2 weeks/trip.
