Accounting Associate
Location: Fort Riley, Kansas - Total Facilities Maintenance (TFM)
Type: Non-ExemptWork Schedule: Full-Time, Day Shift
Compensation: $22.00 -$22.00/hour

Skookum is seeking a a dedicated and reliable Accounting Associate with a professional attitude.
Typical duties include but are not limited to:
Responsible for all accounting work that are needed to make sure accounts payable are processed in an efficient and timely manner.
Review all supplier/subcontractor invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
Receive, research, and resolve routine internal and external inquiries concerning account status.
Reconciles supplier statements, research, and correct discrepancies.
Validate operational credit card expenses in Maximo.
Assist in maintenance of W-9 and 1099 Supplier records.
Reconcile/Disburse petty cash by recording entry; verifying documentation.]
Qualifications:
Associate degree in Accounting is required.
3-5 years of experience in Accounting required with Construction Accounting experience preferred.
Proficient in Word and Excel.
10-key by touch and the ability to type 60-65 wpm.
Thorough knowledge of applicable accounts payable/general ledger systems and procedures, financial chart of accounts and corporate procedures.
Physical Requirements:
Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.
Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.
Requirements:
A valid state driver’s license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Skookum’s insurance.
Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access. A background check and E-Verify will be conducted for this position.
