U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command Supply Technician in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas

Summary About the Position: This is a Supply Technician, GS-2005-06, position in Operations Division of the Combined Arms Center (CAC) & Fort Leavenworth, Army Management Staff College (AMSC). Incumbent is responsible for planning the timely requisitioning and receipt of supplies and equipment used by the staff, faculty, and students of the AMSC. Moving expenses are NOT authorized, based on a determination that a move is not in the Government's interest. Responsibilities Serve as the International Merchant Purchase Authorization Care (IMPAC) cardholder for operational purchases. Process paperwork, maintain records, monitors purchase transactions, and enter information into database for audit purposes. Reconcile purchases with various database trackers. Provide recommendations to supervisor concerning purchasing and budget requirements. Review catalogs to maintain knowledge of materials available. Monitor printers and copy machines; coordinates necessary maintenance/repair; and monitors/documents usage for documentation and supply requirements. Serve as hand receipt holder for the Army Management Staff College. Conduct periodic inventories and investigate/resolve discrepancies. Serve as safety officer for AMSC; coordinate training of staff/faculty, maintain documentation of emergency procedures, inspect facility for compliance, prepare for periodic inspections. Conduct annual 100% key inventory/registries; service as facility access control administrator. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience utilizing an automated system to track supplies and experience resolving inventory discrepancies. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Inventory ManagementPhysical SecurityWriting Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06). Current employees applying under VEOA are subject to time-in-grade restrictions like any other GS employee. NOTE: All applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade and specialized experience requirements within thirty (30) days after the closing date of the announcement. Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. Two year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required.
