Summary About the Position: This will position will serve as a Program Manager within the Combined Arms Center for Training (CAC-T), Training Management Directorate (TMD), Fort Leavenworth, KS. Responsibilities As a Program Manager, you will perform duties to include, but not limited to the following: Plans, organizes, and oversees operational and administrative matters of the organization. Executes planning, programming, and budgeting for managed programs to defend requirements and ensure inclusion in the Program Objectives Memorandum (POM). Advises on the potential value, feasibility, and implications of current and proposed projects; and on the professional capabilities of the organization. Performs the full range of supervisory personnel management functions. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Assessing program development or execution and improving organizational effectiveness and efficiency utilizing program management principles/processes and analytical/evaluative methods and techniques. AND 2) Designing and conducting management studies to identify/propose solutions to management problems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and Management Decision Making Manages Human Resources Planning and Evaluating Strategic Thinking Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13). Note: All applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade and specialized experience requirements within thirty (30) days after the closing date of the announcements. Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--NO substitution of education for experience is permitted.
