U.S. Army Sustainment Command Motor Vehicle Dispatcher in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas

Summary About the Position: This is a Motor Vehicle Dispatcher position with the Logistics Readiness Center, Ft. Leavenworth, KS. Recruitment, relocation and/or retention incentives are NOT authorized for this position. Responsibilities Process and schedule vehicle requests. Dispatch vehicles and non-standard equipment using the electronic vehicle management systems. Inspect vehicles to ensure they are in proper operating order and to document pre-existing damage. Prepare and maintain dispatch logs. Maintain maintenance schedules for vehicles. Obtain, compile and process statistical data to prepare daily and monthly reports. Measure and determine fuel usage from tank storage areas. Maintain a variety of files, regulations, graphs and records to support statistical data. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes using computer software programs (i.e. excel) to consolidate data and/or prepare reports, tracking task due dates and maintaining office files. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05). For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: CommunicationsManages and Organizes InformationTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).
