Northrop Grumman is seeking a motivated professional to join our team as Mgr Team Lead/Manager . The location of this position is at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas with our Mission Command Training Program (MCTP) trains Army Corps, Divisions, and Brigades in the Army Mission Command Systems and Operations Process. This is done thru an integrated simulation to replicate a robust Operating Environment (OE). Units conduct exercises in Large Scale Combat Operations with all appropriate operational variables that would be present in a theater of operations in order to develop efficiency in the operations process.
Manages other full-time Plans personnel as the Plans Deputy (HICOM Deputy G5) supporting the Mission Command Training Program (MCTP). Integrates and directs the operational planning efforts of the team for MCTP Warfighter Exercises. Reviews appropriate plans and orders to confirm they are doctrinally based, meet the need of the training audience, and integrate the requirements from the customer. Coordinates the onboarding, integration, and training of new personnel. Serves as the Plans Chief in his absence.
Manage the daily operations of the Operational Plans Team.
Develop and gain approval of planning priorities.
Direct and supervise activities of subordinates.
Ensure timely, and satisfactory submission of contract deliverables.
Develop and maintain systems to gain feedback from the customer on deliverables and anticipate adjustments as required.
Supervise the application of current Doctrine to develop Warfighting Function appropriate concepts for respective scenarios.
Bachelor's degree with 15 years of experience or Master's Degree with 12 years' experience
US Army Command and General Staff Officer Course, or MEL 4 equivalent Intermediate Level Education (ILE)
US military service as a Field grade officer (Major, Lieutenant Colonel, Colonel)
Familiar with current Army and Joint doctrine
Proficient with MS Office suite of software (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Access)
Must currently possess an active DoD Secret Clearance
Preferred Qualifications :
Former Division, Corps, or ASCC Planner
Former Plans OCT
Mastery of US Army Doctrine
Experience in design and planning Army exercises
Brigade or higher staff officer experience
Familiar with current OPFOR Hybrid Threat Doctrine
