U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command Laborer (MVO) in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas

Summary About the Position: The incumbent will perform a variety of classroom support functions for the Combined Arms Center and Fort Leavenworth. Responsibilities This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive: Move furniture and equipment to set up classroom configurations in support of the schedule. Prioritize assigned tasks to accomplish them in a timely manner. Deliver publications and other classroom support materials as needed. Assist in the execution of conferences, ceremonies, and special events. As necessary, assist with snow removal and grounds maintenance. Drive vehicles such as sedans, trucks, or vans to transport various tools and equipment to work sites. Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an Laborer (MVO) without more than normal supervision. Performing common laborer duties such driving automobiles and passenger vans, operating dollies, stacking and arranging supplies for storage in accordance with safety guidelines. - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating. Ability to Do the Work of the Position without More Than Normal SupervisionAbility to Interpret Instructions, Specifications, etc. (Other Than Blueprint Reading)Ability to Use and Maintain Tools and EquipmentDexterity and SafetyWork Practices (Including Keeping Things Neat, Clean, and in Order) The incumbent is required to walk, stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and work on ladders. Operation of motorized vehicles/equipment requires light physical effort in reaching, bending, turning, or moving hands, arms, feet, and legs to operate hand and foot controls. Incumbent performs work outdoors, indoors, and in confined spaces. Outdoor work may be performed for long periods, under all weather conditions. Work may be performed in close proximity to coworkers or may be performed alone. Incumbent is exposed to moving objects and sharp edges with possibility of cuts and bruises, and be subject to noise and vibration from equipment. Education Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. Two year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. You may claim military spouse preference (MSP).
