U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command Deputy Combat Training Center (CTC) Training Program Manager in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas

Summary About the Position: This position serves as the full Deputy to the Director of the Combat Training Center Directorate (CTCD), Combined Arms Center-Training (CAC-T). Responsibilities The incumbent of this position will perform duties to include, but not limited to the following: Plans, organizes, staffs, directs, coordinates and controls the activities of the Combat Training Center Directorate (CTCD). Typical tasks will involve the formulation and revision of plans, programs, policies, and procedures for the execution of the CTC Program. Responsible for planning, developing, directing, evaluating, and validating an integrated system of financial and manpower management in support of the four geographically dispersed and diverse missions of the Combat Training Centers (CTCs). Represents CTC Program at conferences, meetings, and working groups, providing advice and guidance as necessary to government and non-government agencies at all levels. Provides leadership, professional guidance, decisions, advice and assistance on all matters relating to military and civilian personnel management. Sets priorities and prepares schedules for completion of work. Establishes performance standards and evaluates subordinates? performance in meeting the standards. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). Specialized Experience Requirement: One year of specialized experience which includes developing resource strategies to support training exercises; executing training courses; and developing training strategies that encompass live, virtual and constructive environments. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). -AND- Basic Education Requirement: Degree: that included or was supplemented by major study in education or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts with your application). -OR- Combination of education and experience -- courses equivalent to a major in education, or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position, plus appropriate experience or additional course work that provided knowledge comparable to that normally acquired through the successful completion of the 4-year course of study described in A above. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Education / Training Program Administration Manages Human Resources Oral Communication Technical Competence Written Communication Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13). *All applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade and specialized experience requirements within thirty (30) days after the closing date of the announcements. For this position, you must meet the experience and education requirement to qualify. There is NO substitution of education allowed at this grade level.
