Summary About the Position: Incumbent will serve as an Administrative Support Assistant performing duties under general supervision/instructions to carry out recurring assignments in support of the organization. Responsibilities This list is not all-inclusive: Responsible for the preparation, maintenance, and deposition of required administrative reports and correspondence. Schedules meetings and conference calls for the directorate, prepares and manages travel related orders for member of the directorate. Receives inquires and telephone calls and determines which require the persona attention of the supervisor and which may be referred to an appropriate subject matter expert. Directly assists in the management of all administrative support program functions and serves as the primary source of information. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) compiling data, 2) preparing reports and correspondence utilizing computer software programs, 3) and calendar/scheduling management. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05). -OR- Education: A half year (i.e., 9 semester hours) of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as business administration, human resources, management, etc. (Note: You MUST attach a copy of your transcripts.) -OR- Combination of Experience and Education: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 9. Add the two percentages. (Note: You MUST attach a copy of your transcripts.) You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Clerical Computer Skills Customer Service (Clerical/Technical) Written Communication Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).
