The Neosho County Health Department is looking for a Part-time, Registered Nurse. This position\'s starting wage is \$20 per hour. Applicants must have an Associates Degree in nursing, with an active Registered Nursing (RN) license. At least two (2) years of experience in the nursing field. Any additional nursing related training or skills are a plus.

This is a skilled, professional public health nursing, part-time position, which includes direct nursing services in clinic, and community settings, as well as administrative, supervisory, and consultative responsibilities. Work involves filling in, in nursing specific areas to assist when other nurses are overbooked and/or out of the office. The position involves planning, organizing, and assisting with Neosho Countys local public health nursing program. Work is performed with under the general direction of the Health Department Administrator and its Assistant Administrator of Nursing.

Specific Essential Functions Include:

  • Assist in performing Urine & Blood Analysis testing
  • Assist in performing DNA testing
  • Assist the WIC coordinator in their weekly responsibilities
  • Assist with immunizations
  • Assist with infectious disease tracking within Neosho County
  • Input daily services provided by the Health Department, which will improve the billing process
  • Work with front window and/or answer telephone as needed
  • Assist the full-time staff with any duties as needed
  • Maintenanceofclientconfidentiality
  • Participateinstaffmeeting,agencyeventsandrequiredin-serviceactivities
  • Promotepublicrelationsforcommunityactivitiesandevents
