Job Purpose and Impact
The Plant Manager for the Emporia, Kansas pet food production facility will provide strategic operational oversight for all production and operating processes. In this role, you will be accountable for standards aligned to safety, quality, operational effectiveness, and financial performance.
Key Accountabilities
Lead and ensure all production and operating facilities operate safely and in compliance with regulatory and corporate safety and environmental programs standards and goals.
Oversee the execution food safety and quality programs while driving reliability centered manufacturing operations.
Responsible for strategy execution, management, and compliance to capital and operating budgets. Assist in the development and execution of capital investment strategy for the site.
Lead and own strategic implementation results of operational efficiency programs.
Champion a culture that builds, operates, and maintains a plant that is operationally sound, safe, and efficient.
Develop plans and deliver results in a fast-changing business or regulatory environment, while leading and developing a team of experienced professionals and supervisors. Coach and make decisions related to talent management, hiring, performance management. Collaborate with managers and supervisors in the organization to ensure staff selection aligned with current and future needs.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Operational excellence knowledge
Budgeting and operations planning experience
Minimum of six years of related work experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Three or more years of supervisory experience
Pet or human food manufacturing experience
