Panasonic BIM & CAD Manager - Panasonic Energy Kansas in De Soto, Kansas
The BIM (Building Information Modeling) and CAD (Computer Aided Design) Manager is responsible for the development of the Panasonic Energy’s BIM team and oversees the delivery of the team. This professional will be responsible for overseeing and serving as the company representative in dealings with design/construction contractors. We’re looking for a highly motivated and self-motivated BIM and CAD manager to ensure compliance with all federal and state procedures, regulations, and codes, and present progress updates to appropriate management channels on a regular basis.
Essential Duties:
Oversee the development and management of the company BIM Team
Managing the coordination between company and design/construction contractor BIM teams
Managing the company federated BIM model
Managing the company’s CAD data for the project
Responsible for developing and implementing BIM workflow and driving standard usage of BIM and Revit within and outside the company
Oversee the use of BIM/Revit software firm-wide, including installing, configuring, maintaining, and supporting all BIM installations as well as analyzing and solving BIM user issues

Qualifications: Requirements - Required and/or Preferred
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, IT, Engineering Management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
Minimum of 3+ years managing a BIM team
Working understanding of BIM standards
Essential Qualifications:
Strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement mindset
Industrial and commercial construction experience
Understanding of business and/or construction
Understanding of construction cost estimating, accounting, and cost control
Knowledge of relevant engineering principles and methods of construction
Knowledge of building codes and regulations
Knowledge of construction contracting regulations
Knowledge of public procurement regulations and procedures
Ability to lead a team of professionals
Lean Six Sigma, 5S, and continuous process improvement experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Build and maintain strong relationships with the various cross-functional teams to ensure overall program alignment
Influence various teams without direct reporting structure
Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook

Understanding of complex program and project delivery management systems, including differing construction delivery contract types

Ability and proficiency in collecting, analyzing, and presenting data
