The successful applicant will demonstrate a successful record of taking ownership and overseeing aircraft instrumentation systems. Primary tasks involve designing test instrumentation and systems and supporting these designs through installation, checkout and flight testing. These designs will mainly be in support aircraft modifications and related activities. Some travel may be required.**Minimum Education**High School Diploma or equivalent by date of hire**Minimum Experience*** Six (6) years of related experience. Every 30 hours of college coursework can be substituted for one (1) year of experience.**US Export Compliance Requirement**This position requires access to EAR or ITAR controlled technologies. Applicants are required to be eligible for employment under U.S. export control laws and must meet the requirement of being a U.S. Citizen . Formally released documentation and drawings include wire diagrams, calibrations and system maintenance and operational materials.Importance(E) EssentialPercentage40%* Supports the designs by providing liaison to the shop floor and leading / assisting with troubleshooting as appropriate.Importance(E) EssentialPercentage20%* Works closely with other engineers and test operations staff in establishing requirements and providing them with timely and accurate data.Importance(E) EssentialPercentage20%* Provides instrumentation support for test rigs, hot benches and other ground-based articles.
