This job was posted by https://www.kansasworks.com : For more information, please see: https://www.kansasworks.com/jobs/12833845 The Occupational Health Medical Assistant is a Licensed Medical Assistant who assists with Occupational Health with including drug testing, paternity testing, hearing and vision screening, spirometry screening and Physical Capacity Program testing. Such screenings will be conducted in clinic as well as on site health and wellness fairs at participating businesses. S/he will also manage administrative and operational activities such as tracking test results, reporting, data entry, filing, and appointment scheduling.
JOB DUTIES:
Obtain and record patient medical histories, vitals, test results and other information for medical records
Coordinate the daily administrative activities, including scheduling, patient check-in and check-out, and patient medical record maintenance
Prepare testing rooms, ensuring cleanliness, for evaluations
Administer drug, paternity, hearing, vision, spirometry and PCP testing
Complete lab controls and proficiency testing, as needed
Obtain specimens, perform lab duties, draw blood and chart results, as needed
Report lab, X-Ray and other diagnostics to patients and clients as permissible
Maintain confidentiality of all information according to HIPAA and company policy
The Occupational Health Medical Assistant assumes other responsibilities as assigned.
