Position Summary: This position will encompass primarily of ultrasonic phased array testing in accordance with current manufacturing codes and standards. Other duties will include weld inspection and report generation and documentation.Employee Core Values:

Primary functions: (job functions listed below are strictly a guideline; duties and responsibilities will naturally evolve over time)


+ Set-up and calibrate Phased Array equipment prior to each usage


+ Maintain Phased Array/ Ultrasonic shearwave equipment


+ Perform volumetric NDE tests (Phased Array scans) on Code related material


+ Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable code, specifications, and standards to include ASME section I, section VIII-Div.1, and AWS


+ Demonstrate and perform inspection scans for clients and 3rd party inspectors


+ Interpret readings and test results in real time


+ Maintain current ASNT Level II certification in Phased Array (UT/PAUT)


+ Train and mentor ASNT Level I UT/ PAUT Technicians


+ Magnetic Particle (MT) and Liquid Penetrant (PT) certifications are a plus but not required


+ Visual (VT) weld inspection will be required


+ Permanent manufacturing location, little to no travel required.

Summary of Qualifications:


+ Education: Minimum of High School or equivalent.


+ Training: Must have current ASNT Level II PAUT Certification


Ability to understand and interpret Codes and specificationsBlueprint Reading and use of inspection tools


+ Physical: Employee must frequently lift and/ or move items up 75lbs. Climbing, kneeing, bending, crawling maybe required to perform job tasks. Visual acuity shall be required to perform visual inspections. Employee maybe exposed to environmental factors like extreme heat and cold for short periods of time. Employee will be required to follow PPE protocols.
