The Family Medicine clinical staff member, under the direction of the Provider, cares for patients of all ages and assists with all aspects of patient care, such as activities of daily living, monitoring of routine vital signs, maintaining a clean environment, errands, and other department routine activities. While performing routine tasks and procedures, the clinical staff member gathers data and reports significant information about the patient to the Provider and confers with the Provider when necessary for direction and instructions. After a patient is seen, the clinical staff member cleans the room for the next patient. The clinical staff member documents as required by department, maintains established departmental policies and procedures, safety, environmental and infection prevention standards, and gives courteous care with respect to patient rights and privacy. The clinical staff member will float to all hospital owned clinics as needed.
