GE Aerospace Facilities Maintenance Supervisor in Arkansas City, Kansas
Job Description Summary
This role leads the facility maintenance teams for the entire aircraft engine repair overhaul site, as well as new production. This role provides key front-line leadership to a team of skilled tradesmen that support the repair overhaul teams in the referenced areas. The successful candidate will offer technical support and guidance to the teams and customers in order to meet shop goals and priorities. The successful candidate will also be a strong partner to the operations team and be able to operate in a matrixed environment.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Lead the team’s personnel in daily operations, demonstrating strong integration with maintenance operations teams and crossfunctional stakeholders
Establish the use of key metrics to ensure all related activities are meeting expectations for the business, teams, employees and customers
Establish a culture of continuous improvement
Demonstrate leadership in communicating business goals/programs/processes consistently across the teams
Provide technical leadership for facility maintenance personnel across the entire aircraft engine repair overhaul and new production areas.
Manage maintenance engineering projects, rebuilds, retrofits and new installations
Provide technical training for the facility maintenance workforce
Ensure compliance with the EHS safety standard with special focus on equipment safety
Drive implementation of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) initiatives
Provide training for the Maximo PM database, supporting software and procedures
Monitor PM backlogs to ensure timely completion
Standardize maintenance programs, procedures and processes across the business units
Reduce downtime by improving reliability and maintainability of equipment
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or high school diploma/GED and an additional 3+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment)
3+ years of experience working in Maintenance/Manufacturing.
Preventative and/or predictive maintenance experience.
