Additional Information:

Purpose: This position assists in maintaining building technology including networks, software and hardware modifications. Additional responsibilities may include setup, maintenance/repair and troubleshooting of hardware/software. This position will also help support our eCademy virtual school. Qualifications:

+ One year College/Technical School equivalent (preferred).

+ A+ Certification Certificate or equivalent certification (preferred).

+ Maintains high levels of confidentiality regarding student and staff information and issues.

+ One year previous experience preferred.

+ Effective oral and written communication skills.

+ Maintain a high level of customer service

+ Ability to organize and coordinate activities.

+ Ability to follow directions.

+ Ability to work as a team.

+ Moderate physical demands.

+ Ability to establish working relationships with students, teachers, and administrators in a positive, caring manner.

+ Valid driver’s license and reliable form of transportation

Supervisor: Network EngineerPerformance Responsibilities:

+ Troubleshoot network connectivity, workstation hardware, classroom technology, software problems and perform maintenance where needed, including but not limited to: printers, hard drives, recovery errors, installs and replaces computer components (chips, expansion boards, power supplies)

+ Work with staff to resolve hardware and software difficulties as well as service, setup and upgrade

+ Assist staff with special technology projects throughout the school term

+ Work as a team with all other technology staff in solving problems and creating additional technology opportunities

+ Attend technology training as appropriate

+ Troubleshoot computer problems in a timely fashion

+ Other duties as assigned which are consistent with the general requirements and qualifications for the position


+ Manage job requirements with physical mobility to move from place to place (walking, standing, stooping, pushing, pulling, kneeling, crawling, turning, reaching, climbing, balancing, lift up to 60 pounds on a daily basis), and use large, heavy equipment.

+ Must work in and around dust, fumes, and odors.

+ Must work in noisy and crowded environments, with numerous interruptions.

+ Must work indoors and outdoors year-round in a variety of temperatures.

Terms of Employment: Year round at-will position. 40 hour work week or as established by the Board. Schedules or shifts may be altered depending upon the critical nature or emergency circumstances of the job. Work hours will be determined as required by conditions. Vacation and sick day allowances included in District Personnel Policy.Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy as stated in the Classified Handbook.FSLA Status: Non-exemptSalary Range: Starting salary $16.76 per hour - additional consideration for experience, education, and certification.
