Position Title:
Academic Advisor (part-time)
Job Duties:
Butler Community College is seeking a part-time Academic Advisor (28 hours/week). The Academic Advisor provides academic advising, career and occupational planning and retention services to present and potential students.
Campus Location:
Andover
Qualifications:
The applicant may be requested to authorize the College to procure a consumer report(s) for employment purposes. We regret that the College is unable to sponsor employment Visas or consider individuals on time-limited Visa status.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
A. Strong interpersonal communication skills.\ B. Knowledge of needs of diverse student population.\ C. Organizational skills and ability to keep track of detailed information.\ D. Ability to use computer to access student records.\ E. Ability to work as a team member to assist in the efficient operation of the entire division.\ F. Strong knowledge base in career and occupational information.
Required Experience:
Previous experience in advising, teaching or related area.
Required Educational Background:
Bachelor\'s degree required. Prefer background in student services or related field.
