We are hiring immediately for full time Pellet Mill Operator at the Abilene, KS facility. Typical hours are 9:00 pm - 5:00 am Sunday – Thursday. This position will be responsible for the operation of processing machinery as assigned including the pellet mills and associated equipment. This position offers weekly pay, a $2.00/hr shift differential and a complete benefits package, including Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois health insurance with low premiums and deductibles with immediate coverage available, as well as sick time, vacation, 401(k)/ESOP with company match, pension, dental, vision, and life insurance.

Position Summary:

The role of a Pellet Mill Operator is responsible for the following duties:

  • Operate processing equipment following established standard operating procedures.

  • Coordinate operations with other operators to ensure quality procedures are followed through the systems.

  • Comply with all safety programs and procedures.

  • Complete basic equipment cleaning, maintenance and lubrication as required. Report equipment malfunctions or process deviations to Supervisor.

  • Complete daily operator reports.

  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area by following established housekeeping program.

  • Other responsibilities as assigned by management

Job Requirements:

  • Promotes the ADM Way and Core Values

  • High School diploma or GED

  • Ability to drive a forklift

  • Ability to multi-task

  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders

  • Accuracy in performing duties.

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift 55 lbs on a regular basis

  • Basic computer skills

  • Strong safety and math aptitude

  • Strong attention to detail with ability to work effectively as a team member
