Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) and Security Manager

Onsite​​​​​​- Day Shift

As a SHE and Security Manager at our new Tonganoxie, KS location, you will implement, support, and maintain Global Animal Nutrition & Health Standards for SHE at a local level, defined as in integrated systems. That includes but is not limited to the following: GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points), dsm-firmenich Corporate SHE requirements and SHE requirements following the local regulations.

Responsibilities:

• • Shows real SHE leadership by spending half of the time in the production area setting standards and encouraging/coaching the employees to act in a SHE responsible manner for their well-being and organizing involvement in the site plans.

• Be a visible ambassador of LSR (Life Saving Rules) on site and continuously keeping the awareness high.

• Lead and maintains site Risk Assessments including Safe Work Permits, Job Safety Analysis, HAZOP, Machine Safety RA, Health RA with the assistance of the Plant Manager and SHE Manager.

• Provides technical and practical support to ensure all aspects of SHE is considered in the design of new projects, upgrades, or specific standard equipment in cooperation with Project Managers.

• Review /Challenge SHE part of site projects and changes via MOC process.

• Ensure the SHE compliance of the site to local regulations and dsm-firmenich standards.

• Management of controlled documents, including the creation and / or support for the creation of documents, ensuring integration to the system for other departments and /or functions.

  You Bring:

• High School diploma or equivalent. OSHA Certification a plus.

• A minimum of 4 years of manufacturing-related positions (food/feed preferred).

• Broad knowledge of SHE policies, practices, and regulations as well as knowledgeable a variety of systematically risk assessment methods in SHE (HAZOP, PSA, MSA, HRA, JSA etc.), including Root Cause Analysis methodology to support SHE incidents.

• Ability to write Safety SOPs.

• Knowledge of Safety Systems, preferably within the feed industry.

• Willingness to listen, leadership, teamwork, credibility in the team, autonomy, ability to make decisions, commitment, and responsibility, willing to promote internal communication. Analytical and critical abilities, good interpersonal relationships, ability to work with internal and external customers.

• Good communicator with good presentation skills.

• Contributes to the improvement of the overall performance of the Premix plant by participating and actively engaging with the site team.
