The City of Coffeyville has an opening for Information Technology Technician. This position provides support and issue resolution for computers and other electronic equipment for all City departments; organizes files in the network server; provides troubleshooting and programming support. Aids in: the installation of new data processing equipment; training and assistance to City employees; sets up new users in the computer and phone system; data security and backup procedures. Knowledge of modern data processing principles; systems management; local area networking and wide area networking are required. Ability to prepare and analyze reports; troubleshoot PC systems and aid in maintenance of servers. This position requires excellent organizational skills, public relations and oral and written communication skills. Thorough knowledge of Microsoft desktop and server operating systems is required. Physical requirements include ability to sit for long periods, hand coordination, occasional squatting, kneeling, lifting.
Ideal candidate will have a related technical degree in computer science or credits toward a degree; or one to three years\' experience in a related field. Pay range for this position is \$17.00-\$24.00/hour plus excellent benefits package.
